Marketing copy that makes the reader say Yes.

Marketing copy takes many forms, but it all has one goal—to get people to take action. Every word has to work hard toward that end. It takes focus and resourcefulness from a writer. The variety of samples here show how I've handled different challenges. Just get in touch and we can discuss how to create a focused message that will achieve your own goals.

This brief profile of a prominent attorney presents her not only as an accomplished professional, but as a likable person a client would enjoy working with.

landscape design home page
The copy for the home page of this specialized landscaping firm emphasizes that it's a unique organization that specializes in bringing an upscale look to the exteriors of executive homes. Imperative verbs ask that the reader act to review the services and contact the firm.

promotional postcard copy
This simple promotional postcard highlights the attractions of the city where a regional educational conference would be held, outlines the features of the conference and urges the reader to register.

museum press release
An example of when it's appropriate to have a little fun in order to reinforce the lighthearted nature of the effort being publicized.

municipal government press release
A straightforward one-pager that gives the news media the necessary facts but arranges those facts in a way that emphasizes the message the client wants to send.

restaurant brochure copy
A restaurant ad from the first few months of my career that shows an early attention to features, benefits and appropriate style.
